I am about to buy a SW 2286 TT. Biggest decision is whether I really need a 150 or if the 115 HP is enough? We will do mostly tubing- possibly some skiing. Any opinions?

    I got the Yamaha 115 on my 240 DF which is just under 26'.

    The way it is set up with 5 adults I get a top end of 26 mph, which for tubing is find and doable for basic skiing. My guess is on your 2286 top end with 115 should be about 30 mph with same load. I would have loved to do the 150 but could not justify the additional cost of motor and possible need for hydraulic steering. If $ aren't a big factor always go bigger.
