2017 235 SW Premium Steering Issues

Having some steering issues with a boat recently purchased it’s a 2017 SW Premium with 200hp Yamaha. When driving anything above say 5mph trying to turn to starboard takes two hands to the point really don’t think wife could safely operate the boat. I called the dealership purchased from and they stated completely normal that it’s from fighting the prop. Driven a lot of tritoon setups and never seen this issue as preferably as with this boat.
Also what would recommended mounting position for outboard be on this boat right now cavitation plate is right in line with bottom of center toon if leveled maybe slightly higher.
