Re: Seeking Mooring Cover for 2007 Sanpan 2500FE
Ok, no response even from Godfrey. So, I took the bull by the horns and engaged the services of a local car and boat upholstery guy to custom make one. See photo. He did a fantastic job and as an FYI he installed a zipper at the half way point. This allow the back half of the cover to be installed without wrestling with the front half at the same time. Then zip on the front half and complete the installation. Brilliant!

Re: has anyone used the build a boat feature then went to a dealer to buy that boat?
We purchased a new 2018 Aqua Patio and we built it from the water up. List price on the web site was close to 90K. Our dealership sold the boat to us for just over 60K with trailer.

Re: Cavitation Problem on 27" toons with Yamaha 115
It's not just with the yamahas. I have the 135 ****, 145 hp evenrude and am having the same issue. This will be my 3rd year with the boat, and it's still not right, less than 15 hours on the boat. 2015 sweet water premium 240sd with 27 inch toons and lifting strakes. I have had it raised, lowered, had the extension put on taken off, 4 different props, and now the 3 toon put on. Still not right. Last I heard they were taking off about 5 feet of the lifting strakes off. Haven't gotten word yet. Any one else heard of pulling strakes on and off?
Re: Water in pontoons
Response from Matt in Godfrey Pontoons Customer Support:
The tubes are chambered. Each vent plug is for each chamber in the tube. Over time it is not uncommon for water to get into the tube from condensation. If there is a LOT of water in the tubes then they will need to be inspected for leaks. Typically this should be done by a Godfrey dealer. They will apply soapy water on the welds and put about 5lbs air pressure into the tubes. If the one of the welds produces a bubble, they have found a leak.
Re: How can I obtain a wiring diagram for my boat?
This is what you can go by
Re: Mounting the depth/fish finder
Well, just to show the final result, here are some photos of the mounting brackets I made and the final install. the flat bracket was put on the back side of the dash panel to provide additional rigidity. I like it, it's easy to see when seated and rotates upward for good viewing when standing.
Re: Seat Covers
If you haven't yet found the Power & Deck Boat Magazine Pontoon Forum
you might be able to get a lead there. I have found it to be very useful.
Re: Rain and dashboard
As I said in another post, I have had a bunch of boats
While the dash gauges are supposed to be waterproof/ resistant; I have had moisture fog up a few over the years. Otherwise, I have washed my dashboard right along with the rest of the boat, rain is fine too. While using in salt water areas, I prefer that it rain to rinse the boat. I do check the screws for tightness and close all compartments, the radio has a cover plate. I wouldn't worry if I were you.
